Unmanned is critical

Unmanned systems have fundamentally redefined modern combat power

transforming how commanders see, understand, and shape the battlespace. From the earliest systems in the Bekaa Valley to today's extensive operations in Ukraine, they provide unprecedented situational awareness, precision engagement, and the ability to protect soldiers' lives while achieving decisive effects. At MCS, we view unmanned systems as the forward edge of a commander's capability—and these systems are quickly becoming the soldier and commander's best friend.

Our experience with full spectrum of unmanned capabilities

Over several decades, our team has worked across the full spectrum of unmanned capabilities UAVs, loitering munitions, USVs, and UGVs. We have hands-on experience with such systems as the RQ-2 Pioneer, RQ-7 Shadow, Skylark I and II, Shadow 600, MQ-19 Aerosonde and other advanced systems. In the past six years, MCS has assisted in establishing two UAV manufacturers whose systems are now operational in Ukraine and across NATO. We work closely with Europe's most combat-proven manufacturers, including Swarmly—whose H-10 and H-12 Poseidon platforms have logged over 60,000 flight hours in Ukraine and been called "the best UAVs in Ukraine service" by the Commander of Artillery—as well as UCANDRONE (Aquila, Blackbird), which is in service with NATO.  In the UGV space, we have worked with MILREM Robotics (THeMIS, Vector, Havoc) for several years now.

Evaluation, assistance and integration

This depth of operational and industrial experience allows us to support clients in critical areas: evaluating unmanned system investments, assisting in platform development and integration, developing the Tactics, Techniques and Procedures that turn technology into combat capability, and designing marketing campaigns and programs. We don’t strive to field a system but a system of systems. We understand spiral development, lifecycle cost realities, and the importance of giving commanders integrated, timely decision options.

Not all unmanned systems are created equal. Distinguishing genuine high-performers from marginal offerings is essential for investors, primes, and defense organizations. MCS brings an informed, independent perspective to help you identify, validate, and optimize the systems that matter most in future operations. We also recognize that unmanned systems enhance—not replace—long-range fires, helping clients design concepts that deliver more precise, responsive, and survivable effects across the battlefield. Unmanned Systems have fought battles but the war will always be won by a combined arms effort which extends beyond the battlefield and ultimately ends with boots on the ground.

Beyond defense, we advise on commercial applications where these technologies create significant economic value.
